Animation

 

The aim of the animation training is to produce animators and animation directors with wide scale of expertise. After four years´ training period student knows the whole production process of animated film in traditional puppet animation and drawing animation. They own firm knowledge of basic animation techniques and they are also able to use latest digital technique and software in animation.

The students are taught both animated form of expression and film dramaturgy as well as a variety of different techniques. The means and instruments of traditional animation are available along with the latest digital technology and computer software.

The practical film making is in the centre of studies; students produce one drawing animation film and one puppet animation before the final project. During production periods they learn to use all skills needed starting from own script and ending up till post production work.

Along with exercise films the portfolio is filled up with different projects in the field of animation, visuals or other areas near by. Many international activities are served during the studies; participating in festivals, work placement abroad or taking part in exchange programmes.

Graduates work in different fields in media as animation directors, animators, digital professionals, artists or illustrators.

To study animation needs real interest and great patience and also ability to work independently. The visual skills and imagination is needed along with organization skills and punctuality.
